Can I create a 20- or 24-bit CD since the converters are 20- and 24-bit?
A: No. The CD-DA (Red Book) standard dictates that 16-bit audio be stored on the disc. The CDR830 includes built-in dithering to convert the 24-bit signal to 16-bits before encoding to disc.
