Why can't I clock my Roland VM3100 mixer to an external source using ADAT lightpipe and a DIFAT box?
A:
To do this configuration, you must use the 9-pin ADAT sync cable to bring word clock into the DIFAT. Otherwise, you must use the VM3100's internal clock and sync your lightpipe device to external clock. The DIFAT and VM3100 will not sync to the lightpipe alone.
