Q:
How do I make a patch sound the same in Multitimbre mode, on my Fantom?
A:
When a Patch is used in the Multitimbre or a Performance mode it may not always sound the same as it does in the Patch mode. Use the following procedure to make a Patch sound the same when in the Multitimbre mode:
First let's create an initialized Multitimbre: 1. Press MODE and use the VALUE dial to select "MULTITIMBRE." 2. Press 8 "SELECT." 3. Press MENU and use the VALUE dial to select "MULTITIMBRE EDIT." 4. Press 8 "SELECT." 5. Press 7 "INIT." 6. Use the VALUE dial to select TYPE "DEFAULT." 7. Press 8 "EXECUTE." Now let's make settings so a Patch will sound the same in this Multitimbre: 1. CURSOR to the left column and then CURSOR to "Effects." 2. CURSOR right to highlight Src: MFX-A "MLT" and use the VALUE dial to select "P1." 3. CURSOR right to highlight CHO "MLT" and use the VALUE dial to select "P1." 4. CURSOR right to highlight REV "MLT" and use the VALUE dial to select "P1." 5. CURSOR left 3 times and down 3 times to highlight the "0" to the left of "Chorus." 6. Use the VALUE dial to change the value to "127." 7. CURSOR down to highlight the "0" to the left of "Reverb." 8. Use the VALUE dial to change the value to "127." 9. Press 6 "Write." 10. Use the VALUE dial to select a USER memory location. Note: This will replace the MULTITIMBRE presently stored in that location. 11. Press 8 "Execute." 12. Press 8 "OK." 13. Press EXIT to return to the main MULTITIMBRE menu. 14. Use the VALUE dial to listen to various PATCHES. Note: All the Part 1 PATCH MFX settings, CHORUS settings and REVERB settings will now automatically copy into the MULTITIMBRE.
