Q:
If I use phantom power (48v) from a mic pre, the output level is really low, but if I use a 9v battery, the NT4 sounds fine. Why?
A:
When using phantom power from a console or mic pre, be sure that both channels of the stereo mic have phantom power going to them. Phantom power on only one of the two channels will cause very low output level.
