Q:
How can I test the hard drive access and other components of my PC?
A:
There are a number of programs which will profile the speed of your computer (some more accurately than others), and many are freeware. One important test for audio recording is hard drive access speed in throughput. One such program is called Fresh Diagnose and is available at tucows.com Many others are available there and at download.com
