Q:
I am sometimes getting popping, clicking and crackle when I use TC PowerCore on a Windows system. What is causing this?
A:
Using TC PowerCore 1.6 on an ASUS A7V Motherboard with a VIA 4 in 1 chipset might result in clicks, crackle and pops in audio processed with the TC PowerCore.
This is easily fixed by editing your BIOS configuration. When you start Windows, hold the delete key when prompted by the startup. Once you are in the BIOS Manager, set the "Advanced / System Performance / Settings" to [Standard] and the "Advanced / Chip Configuration / PCI to DRAM prefetch" to [Disable].
