Push REC and in Rec Setup you can Select a Track to record on. However it is not just Tracks 1-16. You can also select Tempo and record a Tempo track there. You can Replace, Step or Punch In record tempo tracks. You can also edit them in Event edit by using the Track select F4 button to select Tempo as the Track.
