Glyph has found problems with a batch of firewire cables that shipped with some of their firewire drives. These cables have CLEAR sleeve as opposed to a solid grey sleeve. When discussing firwire drive problems with customers, have them describe the firewire cable to you "clear or solid?"

If you determine that there's a problem with the cable, contact Glyph & they'll send a replacement ASAP.
