Q:
How do I begin routing parts out of the additional outputs (3+4) for the N1 and N1R.

A:
1. Press the MULTI button to enter multi mode.
2. Using the right CURSOR button, move the cursor to the farthest point on the screen, until the
cursor will not move any further right. This indicates the Effects Program.
3. Press the EDIT button. This will take you to the "" page.
When you enter this screen, the first parameter that will be highlighted is FX Placement. Since this is
the effect for whichever program is selected on part 1 of the Multi mode, the setting will vary. It may
be set to Serial, Para.1, Para. 2, Para. 3, or Para. S.
4. Using the value knob (N1R), value slider (N1), or INC+, DEC- buttons change the placement
parameter to "Para. S."
5. Using the right CURSOR button, move the cursor to the value for the "SW" for FX1.
6. Using the value knob (N1R), value slider (N1), or INC+, DEC- buttons change the value to
"OFF".
7. Using the right CURSOR button once again, move the cursor to the value for the "SW" for FX2.
8. Using the value knob (N1R), value slider (N1),, or INC+, DEC- buttons change the value to
"OFF".
9. Press the WRITE button to save your FX set in this current state. A window will appear in the
screen asking for a location in the FX-U (User) bank that you wish to save your FX set in.
10. After you have saved your FX set, press the EXIT button to return to Multi-Mode.
By shutting the effects off and setting the routing to PARALLEL SUB, you have created a routing that
allows output to the 3 rd and 4 the out based on the settings of the FX SENDS. We'll use part 1 as an
example:
11. Use the left CURSOR button to move the cursor to the parameter for panning, which is in the
center of the screen below a graphic for a rotary dial.
12. Rotate the value knob (N1R) clockwise or run the value slider (N1) all the way up to change the
value of the Pan to "OFF".
"OFF" is 1 value beyond hard right. If done correctly, a character that looks like a quarter-note rest
symbol will appear in the center of the pan dial. Shutting the PAN off stops the part from coming out
of Left and Right. Now, all that needs to be done is to select the new output. Send C, which is
represented as a fader to the right of the panning dial, will control the amount of the part being sent to
