Q:
What clock outputs are on the AardSync II and how can it be configured?
A:
The AardSync II has amazing flexibility, allowing the digital studio to be clocked by the ultra low-jitter clock that the AardSync II has become famous for. Its back panel has 4 BNC outputs, 2 AES/EBU outputs and a video input BNC. These outputs can be configured as follows via internal jumpers:
* 2 BNCs can output either 1X word clock or Superclock ("256"). * 2 BNCs can output either 1X word Clock or 2X word clock. * 2 AES/EBU will always output 1X AES/EBU "black". * 1 BNC that can receive video black in, or output video black (if the AardSync II is outfitted with the UVG option). An additional BNC can also be jumpered to output video black if needed.
