Q:
Does Sample/Slice create individual clips at each pulse that can be saved individually?

A:
Yes, it does. If you put a loop sample in at wave location 001, on track 1 and then slice it, the Motif will create a new sample at 002 containing the *group* of sliced clips. Each slice clip can be called up and viewed individually in the TRIM screen. Lets say you have the Slice function start creating slices from note C3 upward chromatically. When you go to INTEGRATED SAMPLING/ EDIT/ F1 Keybank; you can choose which slice is currently viewed by holding the INFORMATION button (KBD) and touching the keyboard note. lets say the slice you want to work with individually is on D3 (a snare, for example). You would hold KBD + strike D3. Its information is now in the screen, you can further trim it, etc. get it like you like it.

From here you can save the sliced segments individually as wav files. To save them press FILE and select SAVE: WAV type. Create a name (snare) and push ENTER. It will let you save any key's data from a sample that is in a PATTERN. To save the slice that is located at D3, set the dialog box so that you are referencing the Track: 1 and keybank: D3
