If you delete the head of the file (to get rid of noise etc.), the file will go back in ADAT/Connect at the proper time, but you're audio will play early. It's better to INSERT SILENCE in ADAT/Edit at the head of the audio file to get rid of noise if you want to transfer back to ADAT at the exact tape location.
