Q:
Setting up the PC300 with USB on a Mac. "The PC300 driver shows up in FreeMIDI or OMS, but I don't get any Midi communication"

A:
Once you've installed the PC300 driver, FreeMIDI and OMS will detect the "port" when you make a new setup/configuration, or update the current one. The trick is to add a device, specifying to connect it to the PC300 "port" shown.

In FreeMIDI, choose CREATE DEVICE from the CONFIGURATION menu. Choose a Roland PC200, and set the Studio Location to "PC300".

In OMS, click the PC300 port to highlight it, then choose NEW DEVICE in the STUDIO menu. Choose a Roland PC-200 and click OK.

* Leave the "name" of the midi device you created "PC-200" . It will work fine, and keep both midi systems from confusing the "keyboard" and the USB "port"
