Will the Tascam US428 work as a control surface for Digidesign Pro Tools LE in Windows?
A:
Yes, if you have the US428 version 2.00 drivers or later, which were released last year.
1. Make sure under Windows Control Panel that the US428 is set to Pro Tools CS-10. 2. Under Pro Tools, go to Midi/Input Devices, and make sure the US428 Control Port is checked. 3. Choose Setups/Peripherals and select the "MIDI Controllers" button 4. On line #1 select "CS-10" under "Type" 5. Select "US-428 Control Port" under "Receive From" and "Send To" 6. Select "8" under "# Ch's" 7. Click OK in the Peripherals window Test the setup by moving a fader and see if the screen faders respond to it.
