How can I reduce the noise in my Digitech GNX3?

First, try resetting the GNX3 per the manual's instructions.

From the data on page 23 the following settings are what you need:

Gate Type: Silencer

Gate Threshold: High (Perhaps not 40 but certainly a great deal higher than 0.)

Gate Attack: Low (Zero or nearly zero.)
