This is a bug in Pro Tools TDM. Current versions of Pro Tools with this bug include:

• I have sluggish performance when running Pro Tools|HD (Pro Tools TDM v5.3) while running Waves Plugins.
• Although not consistent, it appears that one or more of my 192 I/O's does not initialize properly. I can tell this when the Sync and Sample Rate lights don't come on.
