Q:
If I run Digital Performer on a second machine, how would I get the Patch list to show up in Digital Performer on the second machine?
A:
On the second Machine with Digital Performer got to the System Folder > FreeMIDI Folder > FreeMIDI Devices and open file by double clicking on it.
Scroll down until you see the BitHeadz listing (between “Behringer” and “Buchla”). Beneath the :Retro AS-1 listing, enter :Unity Mac “2” {1-16;} Save the file and close it. In your FreeMIDI Configuration now create a new device, select make: Bitheadz, Model: Unity Mac and connect it to the MIDI port running to the Unity Mac. Quit and save configuration. - On the Unity Mac Use FreeMIDI Names Application to generate the Patch list text file. Rename the file: Unity Mac Copy this file into the System Folder > FreeMIDI Folder > Default names Folder > Bitheadz Folder on the Digital Performer Mac.
