Service is not required- it is functioning normally, but your program level is up too high and is overloading the internal digital audio pathways. The Novation already has rather loud patches, and the program level can boost this beyond its limits, especially when you get several notes going at once. Also, you can check your Part Level- this is basically the MIDI volume of a given MIDI channel, and can also add to distortion if it's set too high.
