Q:
Important note to users of Peak 2.6, 2.6.1, and 2.5.7
A:
BIAS has recently identified a potentially serious problem affecting Peak 2.6, 2.6.1, and 2.5.7 that may result in deleting files. The problem may occur if earlier versions of Peak are launched after first launching Peak 2.6, 2.6.1, or 2.5.7 and/or trial versions of Peak 2.6, 2.6.1, and 2.5.7.
Specifically, the problem relates to newer Peak preference files affecting older versions of Peak. To avoid the problem, please remove all copies (including trial versions) of Peak 2.6, 2.6.1, and 2.5.7 from any and all hard drives, delete Peak preferences and shortcut files from within the System folder's Preferences folder. Then download either Peak 2.5.8 (for Peak 2.5x users) or 2.6.3 (for Peak 2.6x users) using the following URL: www.bias-inc.com Please note that you will need to re-install Peak from cd after deleting all the copies on your hard drive. Only do this when you are ready to run the updater for Peak 2.63 or to replace the Peak 2.5x application with the Peak 2.58 application. We sincerely apologize and deeply regret any inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
