Q:
I'm getting an error message : MOTU Public Objects could not be found. You may need to install a newer version of MOTU Public Objects
A:
The MOTU public objects error is generated when an older version of MAS is
being used with a version that does not support it or if there are multiple copies of MAS on the system. The best thing to do would be to do a search on your hard drive for MOTU Audio System and trash whatever you find. The modified resource error means that something has changed within the version of DP 3 that you have installed on your system. The way to fix this would be by deleting the version of DP 3 that you have installed. Once both components have been deleted from the system, reinstall the MOTU Audio System and Digital Performer 3. Once that completes, run the updater again.
