Q:
My Presonus Firestation did not auto-detect new hardware 3 times in Windows when I first installed it, and now the drivers show up in my software but no audio works, but MIDI does. What can I do?
A:
The Firestation needs to install 3 types of drivers: MIDI (first), WDM, and ASIO. If 3 installations do not automatically come up, audio will not work, and you need to force it to install the other drivers. Luckily, it is simple to do this. Go to your MLAN control panel, check WDM, hit SET, uncheck WDM (forces it back in ASIO mode), hit SET, and it should find new hardware twice. Simply point it to the driver CDrom for the drivers, and this should solve the problem.
