Can you play something, and then set the appergiator to come in at 127 note velocity, at which point it would suddenly play some midi data over your notes that made the sound pan everywhere and sweep in and out etc?
A:
There are actually several arpeggios that are just Filter sweeps (
CC 74) or panning (CC 10). You use these by setting the ARP to direct so that the note you play on the keyboard come up just as you play them, but the CC effect the sound. They are in Arp Preset 1 at the very end and called Gate Cut 1 and 2. The other thing you can do is get Twiddly Bits Programmers ToolKit. This has tons of those kinds of patterns and you can easily import them in to Motif as SMFs and then change them into User Arpeggios. This is very cool idea because they are all timed to MIDI clock so when you change tempo the filter sweeps are synched.
