Q:
Why can't I hear my plugins in real-time while recording in Pro Tools?
A:
Go to your Operations menu and Low-Latency Monitoring. This option should be unchecked to be able to hear effects while recording. When it is checked, Pro Tools will disable real-time effects, sends, and aux inputs in order to achieve better (lower) latency.
