The answer is that it dosnt work in Pattern mode, only Song mode. The reason is because Pattern mode does not incorporate a linear timeline like Song mode. Pattern mode may be a loop of some specified length and continue to start over or stop at the end, this is not the way MTC works it sends out a linear message of time progressing continually.
