Q:
I cannot get my PC's parallel port to go to EPP mode in the BIOS so I can use my parallel port MIDI interface. What can I do?
A:
On a very few motherboards, EPP is not available. You might be able to update your computer's BIOS (from the manufacturer's website) to get this function. But first, check to make sure the I/O Address of the parallel port is set to 378F or 378. This option is usually just below the parallel port mode, and upon setting it to 378, EPP may become available as an option for the parallel port mode. It will not cause any other problems because this is the default setting.
