If I have a masterlink with a drive that is the older version - 4.7gig - do I need a firmware upgrade to use a larger drive?

If you have an OS lower than 2.0 than you MUST get a firmware upgrade. If you have 2.0 or later, you can use a drive up to 30gig at the maximum, then you must update the firmware.
