Q:
What type of RAM does the Mackie d8b require to upgrade to run new version 5 software?

A:
The d8b CPU takes 168pin PC100 SDRAM DIMMs. According to Mackie, they must be "double-sided" and "backwords compatible".

A Maximum of 256MB RAM can be used by the d8b. A single 256MB DIMM is recommended; however multiple DIMMS totalling no more than 256MB can be used.
