Q:
"A serious clock error has occurred" or "TDM Connection could not be made -7101" or the Macintosh just freezes when assigning a new Plug-In.

A:
- Plug-Ins use the application heap size of DAE, not the heap size Pro Tools. Increase the preferred size of DAE in the "Get Info" window under the Finder to prevent these errors. You should increase the setting by at least 1 MB for any extra DSP Farm or Plug-In.- A loose TDM connection between the piggyback card and the main card may exist. Remove all cards and make sure the piggybacks are firmly and completely seated on all main boards.- A DSP card may be problematic. Run DigiTest to make sure the card is functioning correctly.- One user reported that his GSM Cellular telephone (2.5 Watts at 100mHz) introduced jittering among the cards and caused a TDM connection failure or a crash in the Finder!
