- Check the drive with some utility like Norton Disk Doctor.- Check for fragmentation and optimize or defragement files.- Back up the files off the drive and run a Destructive Test with the AVIDDrive utility. If any bad blocks, sectors, or tracks appear, reassign them when the test complete. Then reinitialize the drive and try some new recordings. If everything works, restore the files.DO NOT REFORMAT THE DRIVE unless you have exhausted all other possibilities.
