Q:
DAE error -9037 on playback or record in Pro Tools, possibly accompanied by looping audio and/or an unimplemented trap error.

A:
NoReplyErr (DAE is unable to get a reply from the System Accelerator).- Disk Cache (Memory CDev) should be default (try 256 or 512k).- SCSI Peripheral that isn't mounted (CD ROM or Optical) should be turned off or disconnected.- Possibly a System conflict (Network type Extensions/CDevs).- Incompatible SCSI or NuBus Device (check compat-o-docs).- Rebuilding the Desktop (reboot and hold opt+cmd), and/or zapping PRAM (reboot and hold opt+cmd+r+p till it beeps) could help.- Verify that SysAxe extension is 2.34 or later.- Possible SysAxe failure.Could be caused by disk performance, SCSI throughput, incompatible SCSI or NuBus device. We have also had unconfirmed reports that Disk Manager Mac, FWB Hard Disk Tool Kit, Full Compass, APS Power Tools (2.8.1), and SCSI Director, can be problematic on large drives. Also, only use Mac Hardware Handshakes if the formatter has driver options.
