Q:
E32 Error reported by duplication facility. Write-once CD created using MasterList CD and a supported CD recorder is rejected.
A:
E32 means uncorrectable error (an error has been detected which cannot be corrected by the error correction circuits of the reader). The problem areas of the disc causing the E32 errors are unreadable by the DCA machine. Please note that, according to DCA, the duplication facility can configure the DCA machine to either treat the occurrence of an E32 error as a warning, or abort the disc write when an E32 error occurs. Most of the reports have been associated with track at once CD recorders. When the laser is switched on and off during disc writing, erroneous data is written to the disc, which while not being detected by a commercial CD player is likely to be detected by the duplication facility.- Sony is the only currently supported CD recorder which uses "Disc at Once mode"- Kodak/Philips use a true "Track at Once" write mode: Turn laser on Write Lead in Turn laser off Turn laser on Write first track Turn laser off between each track, and after the last track Turn laser on Write lead out Turn laser off- JVC and Pinnacle use a mix between the two modes Turn laser on Write each track Turn laser off Turn laser on Write Lead In Turn laser off Turn laser on Write lead out Turn laser off
