Q:
"Illegal (or bad) Write Time" when attempting to open a MIDI file in Studio Vision that was created by Pro Tools.
A:
Pro Tools creates MIDI Files with a "ppq" value of 16384. Vision / Studio Vision causes a "Bad Write Time" problem whenever one of these files (if longer than about 120 bars) is opened. This can be fixed by using a program created by Opcode called MIDI File Fixer, which will convert files to Vision's ppq of 480, with no overflow problems.
