This seems to be a random problem on the Project Engine when Output Time Code is enabled. After getting the -9004 error, Pro Tools will not play back until you open the Hardware window and toggle the Sample Rate, then OK the dialog.This problem is fixed on Project PCI hardware with DAE/DSI 3.2 and later.
