Q:
After selecting "ADAT" in the Ch 1&2 Input pop-up in Pro Tools' Session Setup window, it displays "Analog."
A:
This is normal behavior in Pro Tools 4.2. When the ADAT Bridge is the Master Interface, you have 2 choices for inputs 1 and 2 (Analog or Digital). ANALOG (ADAT) allows you to transfer tracks 1 and 2 from the ADAT, or record from the ADAT's first 2 analog inputs into Pro Tools. DIGITAL allows you to record from the S/PDIF input on the ADAT Bridge into Pro Tools.Pro Tools 4.2 and later displays "ADAT" after selecting it to make this clearer.
