Configuration for synchronizing Pro Tools and Studio Vision Pro/Vision DSP via MIDI Machine Control (MMC).

In OMS Setup:1) Double click on the IAC Driver and create 2 IAC busses, one for Time Code and the other for MIDI Machine Control. (Note: the name of the IAC bus used for MIDI Machine Control must start with "MMC" and this is case sensitive.)2) Open the "OMS MIDI Setup" window (Edit menu) and enable "Run MIDI In BackgroundIn Vision:3) Open the Enable Input Devices window (Setups menu) and enable the IAC bus named "Time Code4) Open the Sync Option window (Windows menu) and: - Set Receive Sync to "MTC/Machine Control - Select the "Time Code"IAC Bus - Enable "Remote Start - Set Send Sync to "None - Select the appropriate SMPTE Frame Rate (this should match the Frame Rate in Pro Tools)5) Set the Offset of your sequence (click the little "i"in the upper left if you don't see this) to be the same or later than the Session Start Time in Pro ToolsIn Pro Tools:6) Open the Peripherals window (Setups menu) - Click the Synchronization button - Enable (check) "Enable Control of Pro Tools..." - Set the ID to 0 (zero)7) Open the Session Setup window and: - Select the Frame Rate that matches the Frame Rate in Vision - Set the Session Start time to match the sequence's Offset - Enable "MTC To Port" - Select the IAC bus named "Time Code8) Enable "MMC" in the Enable Input Devices window (PT 5.x and later)
