Q:
When trying to instantiate Hum Removal, a TDM Error occurs.
A:
The Hum Removal portion of DINR does not function on a Pro Tools MIX card. There are a couple of workarounds that can be utilized.- Broadband Noise Reduction can actually dial into the lower frequencies and work in the same manner that Hum Removal does. This may be the easiest method.- Creative use of EQ Plug-Ins can also be used to minimize hum. Since Hum Removal actually effected the base frequency and its harmonic overtones, you may find it best to instantiate more than one EQ Plug-In, each set at different frequencies, in order to effectively remove hum from your work.
