A:
Failure to send a message to a plug-in. This error is usually followed by DAE error -9162, failure to receive a message from a plug-in.- The Motorola 56301 DSP chip on MIX and d24 cards changed specs in the fall of 2000. In contrast, the previous version of the chip is marked "3F48S"- Verify compatible versions of the Waves plug-ins are installed. Must have waveshell and waves plugins version 2.8.1 or later for Pro Tools 5.0 or 5.01.- Check TDM ribbon cable is seated properly.- Verify Expansion Chassis ribbon cable is seated properly.- Check DAE buffer settings. Generally Mix and d24 systems should be set to DAE Buffer Size 2.- Update the DSP Manager and Mixer plug-ins- Run DigiTest on cards
