This occurs if not enough memory is allocated to the Pro Tools application in the Pro Tools Info window. For example, increasing the preferred memory to 30000 may allow you to open the session. When installing a Pro tools application upgrade, the memory allocation returns to the default settings and these settings need to be reset to a larger value in order to run memory intensive files.
