This can occur when a user tries to select multiple installation options while installing the Pro Tools software - this particular error was encountered while installing PT 4.2 and the user selected all four install options (PT 24, PT III, Project, and AMIII) simultaneouslysolution: select only the software option for the hardware present in the system
