S/PDIF is not available as a sync mode on a Digi 001 system with Pro Tools LE.

In playback engine setup> Other Options, Optical must be set to ADAT instead of S/PDIF. If the Optical is set to S/PDIF you cannot access the Coaxial S/PDIF.
