Q:
Can DigiTranslator properly recognize and translate "Group Clips" from an OMFI file into a Pro Tools session? [multi-camera resolution]
A:
AVID Media Composer can display multi-camera resolutions (i.e. roughly, one file that contains simultaneously the footage of various cameras). In these cases, both the video and the audio are "grouped" into one single clip (which is roughly what in Pro Tools we would consider a "region", or a single entity in the Edit Window time line). This is called a "Group Clip." OMF Tool has problems handling OMFI exports that contain Group Clips. However, DigiTranslator will use the currently selected audio (and video) from the group.
