"Pro Tools is running low on memory" error or even a freeze when trying to record in Pro Tools 5.x Mac.
A:
Check the disk allocation for record in SETUP > PREFERENCES > Operations. If you're using one or more hard disks with more than 18 GB, you may get this error - beside of a performance loss - when the record space allocation is still on the default value (use all available space). Changing the value to 60-120 minutes should solve this.
