Pro Audio Support

Q:
Is it necessary to Disable the following when configuring Windows 98 SE for use with Pro Tools LE:-Read ahead Optimization.-Disable write behind caching for all drives.

A:
Those settings will have no effect on Pro Tools LE's playback performance. When PTLE transfers audio data to/from disk, it completely bypasses the part of the OS which does read-ahead and write-behind caching, as that sort of optimization generally is not helpful for streaming audio data.
