Q:
What is the Ethernet address of my ProControl unit? I am trying to detect it with my Ethernet network management software (i.e.. NetWare)?
A:
No such thing. ProControl uses proprietary identification protocols to detect only Pro Tools "clients" and other ProControl "servers" and uses Ethernet TCP/IP type 1 "packets" to transmit data. ProControl is designed to coexist with Macs and PCs on an Ethernet network by not sharing any possible "typical" Ethernet address. Network management software like NetWare will not detect ProControl devices.
