Q:
When I launch PostConform v2.0 I get the following message: "DAE could not be successfully acquired, for some reason. Perhaps another application is currently using DAE, or no valid drive is available."
A:
Pro Tools is most likely running concurrently with PostConform and is taking over the DAE application for its own use. PostConform 2.0 is not qualified to run concurrently with Pro Tools 4.32 or below. DAE 5.0P allows Pro Tools and PostConform to run simultaneously. The PostConform 2.0 installer doesn't replace 5.0 with 5.0P. If you are using PostConform with Pro Tools 5.0, quit both Pro Tools and PostConform and replace the DAE application (v5.0) on your system hard drive with the DAE application (v5.0P) from the PostConform 2.0 Installer CD located in the DAE Folder. Launch Pro Tools and disable the Active In Background option under the Operations menu. Launch PostConform and continue working. If you are using PostConform and Pro Tools 5.0.1 disable the Active in Background option under the Operations menu in Pro Tools and continue working.
