Q:
What Software and Hardware can affect my Pro Tools Free PC system performance?
A:
Pro Tools Free can also be affected by other software and hardware drivers installed on your computer. For best possible performance, it is recommended that you:1) Avoid running other Windows programs at the same time as Pro Tools Free.2) Turn off any software utilities that run in the background, such as calendars and virus protection.3) Disable Windows System sounds. In the Sound Control Panel set the Sound Scheme to No Sounds.4) If your video display card supports it, enable Bus Mastering in the manufacturer's Control Panel.5) Disable any networking cards.6) Turn off any power management features of your system.
