Q:
When you create a session from a template, is it normal for an Audio and Fades folder to be created in the template folder?
A:
Yes. But it should only be there temporarily, and should disappear when you close the session that you created from the template. When you double-click on a template session to open it, Pro Tools will immediately create folders on the same folder that the template is in. When the template session opens, it posts a dialog asking if you want to open the template to edit it, or if you want to create a new session that is a copy of that template. If you choose "New Session", you will get a window allowing you to navigate to the hard drive and folder where you want the new session to be created at.Once you do that and click OK, the new session will be created at the specified location, but the "temporary" folders will still be open at the template session's location. When you close the session you created, the temporary folders should disappear.
