Q:
Pro Tools hardware either not installed or in use by another application.
A:
This was seen with a 4.3.1 install where the user was previously running Pro Tools FREE. The installer was not updating the DAE and DSI because they were newer versions.Trash all Digi software elements and install Pro Tools 4.3.1 from scratch.
