Enabling DMA after getting (DAE error -9129) for my IDE HD does not stay enabled upon restart.

First make sure that your HD and motherboard support DMA. After that, if DMA does not stay enabled, turn off Ultra DMA in the BIOS. Then DMA should remain enabled.
