Pro Audio Support

Q:
I have been working on an online session and the audio quality keeps getting worse.

A:
The degradation of audio quality will only occur with the use of compression. If you receive a remotely owned track in a compressed rendering, duplicate it, and then post your duplicate with compression, you will further compromise audio quality because you are compressing already compressed audio. Your locally recording audio will always be at source locally, but any compressed audio you receive you will eventually want to upgrade to source if you plan to use it locally in the final mix. See "Compression, Renderings, and Source Files"on page 8, "Audio Receive Quality"on page 11, "Track Post Quality"on page 24, and "Track Receive Quality"on page 27 of the DigiStudio Guide.
